A masterclass on being drunk and alone
Actually a poem about being an introvert with an alcohol camaraderie

Dancing alone in my room Glass of wine filled to the heavens Body swaying lyrics sliding from quiet tongue I remind myself of the same objective : turn something rotten into mosaic again In doing this I plaster my body into a surreal experiment a fresh take on expressionism See reference to how smoothly I move in front of a mirror This is the moment I become a saint in your eyes When my vision blurs I’ll pray to the wine bottle Hope my reflection realizes how beautiful she is when everyone is watching See reference to the body as art to how smoothly my words slur into their mouth The vineyards resemble an alter again To who i’m unsure But sometimes when mania mixes with music My name becomes God Pray to the wine bottles pouring into me Pouring into a far off collection again See a reference to a mosaic Im saying I like being more abstract idea than woman And so When i say I AM ONLY MYSELF WHEN I AM DRUNK Will you pass me an empty bottle at the end of the night When I say i am only myself when i am drunk Will you look me in the reflection and Pull. Me. Out. Of. Them. See a reference to being smooth in all the wrong places Everything is smoother when you can close your eyes on the ride Home see a reference to another word meaning paradise as in holier than here When you can close your eyes in front of a mirror And assume You are still you see a reference to the wine bottles accumulating by my bedside hello good friends I don’t remember our intimacy but I’m convinced We. Are. Good. see a reference to saying I love you too early I don’t know how to relate without turning my own being into a reference. something both digestible and praised. turn water into wine. here we are again. both knowing. just how much I bend for you. it can be our little secret. see a reference to the gospel
